Presentation Guidelines
Guidelines for Oral Paper Presentations
- Formatting & Templates: Presentations must be submitted in .pptx format only. Please use the official KAPICON conference template for your first slide/title slide and stick to standard, Microsoft-compatible fonts like Times New Roman, Calibri or Arial to ensure your formatting remains intact on the podium computers.
- Dedicated PPT Upload: All final presentations must be uploaded exclusively through the dedicated online submission link prior to the conference. Direct uploads via flash drives in the halls may not be permitted.
- Total Time Allocation: Each oral paper is allotted a strict maximum of 8 minutes at the podium.
- Presentation & Q&A Breakdown: You must tailor your delivery for exactly 6 minutes of presentation, which will be immediately followed by a 2-minute Q&A segment with the chairpersons and audience.
- Time Management: Strict adherence to the time limit is mandatory to maintain the flow of the scientific program. Please pace your slides accordingly.
- Session Coordination: Arrive at your designated hall at least 15 minutes before the start of your session to check in with the audio-visual team and session chairs.
- Managing Schedule Conflicts: If your designated presentation time clashes with your poster presentation or an academic engagement in another hall, please notify the hall coordinator before the start of the session.
- Flexible Presentation Slot: In the event of an overlapping schedule, you are permitted to present your paper at any available time within your assigned session block.
Guidelines for E-Poster Presenters
- Format & Templates: E-posters must be submitted in the specified digital format (e.g., JPEG or .PDF and must utilize the official KAPICON 2026 conference template for the header or title area. Use the aspect ratio 16:9 for better compatibility
- Dedicated Upload: All e-posters must be uploaded exclusively through the dedicated online submission link prior to the conference. Direct file transfers via flash drives at the stations will not be permitted.
- E-Poster Stations: Presentations will be conducted across 10 dedicated e-poster viewing stations. Please check the schedule to identify your assigned station number (1-10) and evaluation block.
- Total Time Allocation: Each e-poster evaluation is strictly limited to a total of 3 minutes per presenter.
- Presentation & Q&A Breakdown: Prepare a concise, high-yield pitch of exactly 2 minutes to explain your research, followed immediately by a 1-minute Q&A interaction with the evaluating judges.
- Key Focus: Given the brief time limit, do not read your poster word-for-word. Focus solely on the most critical elements of your study or case report
- Station Attendance: You must be physically present at your assigned e-poster station at least 15 minutes before your evaluation block begins and remain there to engage with the judges.
- Schedule Flexibility: If your poster time clashes with an oral presentation or another academic commitment in a different hall, notify the e-poster area coordinator at the start of the session. You will be accommodated to present at your station at an alternative time within that session block.
